Luxelakes·Water Canyon Park is located in Luxelakes Eco-City, Chengdu. Nestled beneath Luxelakes Yuntai Manting in the central lake area, it adjoins Luxelakes’ first linear flowing water park. Guided by the hydrological characteristics of Sichuan, it connects landscapes including the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Min River Valley and Five-Colored Ponds, creating a stream park with distinctive local Sichuan features. In June 2020, Liangxiang was commissioned by Wanhua Investment Company to conduct the signage system design, which was completed and delivered in 2021.In resonance with Luxelakes·Water Canyon Park’s representation of the time-honored water systems that nourished ancient Shu territory, we adopted the design covenant of the "water-drop form" — a symbol standing for the renewed reconciliation between humanity and nature in our view. Cities of the past took architecture as line sketches, while natural ecology only served as auxiliary layers for colouring. By contrast, we now regard ecology as the fundamental backdrop, extracting design forms from nature itself.
